Each phase, represented by a different color in the diagram below, during a security event is a phase over which you have total control.

Arming and disarming the system

In addition to the traditional keypad and remote options, the We Monitor system further allows you access to your alarm system via a secure website from where you can not only arm or disarm the system, but also check the status of the entire system or each zone of the system from anywhere around the world. This website is accessible via your smart mobile phone or any internet connected PC. Gone are the days of worrying whether the alarm has been armed.

In addition to manual activation of the alarm system, the system is also able to arm itself at a specific time or interval, all of which is configurable via a website.

The event phase

You control which sensors you wish to install at the premises and these sensor inputs can be configured by yourself via a website. This allows you total control and flexibility over the monitoring of your premises.

The alert phase

Once again you are in control as you decide who is notified of which type of events and when they should receive the notification. You may, for instance, wish to be the only one receiving a notification when the system is armed or disarmed or in the event of a power failure, whilst all your contacts should be notified when a burglary is detected.

The response phase

Since you decided who should receive notifications of which events, you control who will respond to an event at your premises. You are no longer just another customer waiting in line for someone to respond to your emergency. The people that are notified of the event knows you personally.

Would you entrust the keys to your home or business to a complete stranger?

It may seem like a strange question, yet it is exactly what is expected of you when you sign a contract with a conventional security company. You don't know the armed response personnel that will respond to an event at your premises.

You are also not in control of who has access to your keys once they are in the possession of the company. Although all security companies will claim that their personnel are thoroughly scrutinized before they are employed, can you really trust them in todays life when even the members of the SAPS have been found to be part of criminal groups.

When it matters, every second counts

Be it a burglary, fire or medical emergency, every second counts. The proprietary autonomous system utilized by We Monitor does not rely on human intervention in the event of an emergency to contact your support structure, saving valuable seconds or even minutes in the time it would normally take for support to arrive.

You are in control of who is contacted for each of the more than 450 event types that exists as standard within the system.

Out with the old, in with the new

We Monitor utilize state of the art technology to ensure efficient, reliable monitoring of alarm systems country wide. Our systems operate on the GSM backbone of the two largest cellular providers in the country, MTN and Vodacom. We have a dedicated APN network with these providers and have implemented an SMS backup strategy in the very unlikely event that the APN service fails.

Utilizing the GSM network instead of the traditional fixed PSTN (telephone) line or radio network used by most security companies, We Monitor can monitor our alarm system wherever a GSM network is available. We don’t need to have an office in your area to provide you with the service you deserve.

Flexibility

The technologies implemented by We Monitor ensures flexibility at all levels of the solution. You are able to customise your alarm system and notifications from the comfort of your own home. Remote monitoring, arming and disarming of your system is provided through a simple web interface accessible by almost any device capable of viewing a website on the internet.
